I new i should of use my bucket instead of my carboy but went with the carboy, lesson learned got these guys cooling in a bath right now. Bitter and a tank house clone. Used wyeast London ESB in the bitter and Nottingham's for the tank house ale. Bubbling like crazy still.

Does that fermometer say 76? That would help a vigorous fermentation (not the best flavor profile...)

Yes it does straight into the bath it went its been cold here in the basement but not cold enough!

Blowoffs aren't a big deal. I'd much rather have a controlled blowoff than a bunch of extra headspace. I don't like buckets (I'm ok with plastic, but the big seal and headspace bother me).

As am i! its been around 42 outside the last couple of days so i just opened the window in the room with a fan blowing. It was freezing and i got worried and closed it. Guess it didn't help. Should of left it open

I frequently fill my carboys up too full. I just put a towel underneath and some loose foil over the top when I can't be bothered with a blowoff.
