So I am kinda new to brewing beer and this Belgian Wheat Ale I did is caused some worries. I do not know if it is because I used the white labs yeast this time but the top layer just seems different this time. There is this white stuff and I know I may be being a little to freaked out about it but I am wondering if it could be an infection?

I have racked it off and here it stes in the secondary:

Please let me know what y'all think. IS it just the normal froth on top or am I in trouble??

Thaks,

hard to tell.. I've had some beers I was sure were infected that ended up just being a weird looking yeast/ferment. The last one was a belgian yeast as a matter of fact. Only way to know for sure is to taste it.

I really hope thats not infected because all my beers look like that. That or theres a really good tasting infection floating around this house that gets into every one of them.

Awesome!!!! Thanks guys. I figured it was okay. I will bottle tomorrow.

Okay so it had some white stuff floating on the top. So I figured if give it a taste before I bottle it. It taste nasty. Kinda melony. Ii have never done a belg what ale but I can't imagine its suppose to taste like this. I'm figuring its not going to going to get better wIth time and carbonation. I hate to through it all out but ima have to.
