Hey everyone!

I would like to brew this recipe next weekend, but I'd like some feedback. A bit of a backstory: I'm a chess player, and the hypermodern school of chess changed the course of the game in the late 19th century. In honor of that (and the fact that there are 64 squares on a chess board) I am brewing this beer with an estimate OG of 1.064, a color of 6.4, an IBU count of 64(.5), and an estimated ABV of 6.4%. Additionally, 2 out of my 3 hop selections have been released recently (and I heard Horizon gives a nice balanced bittering) and I'm using a mix of wheat and pale malts. So please, feedback is welcome!

It looks like it should be good! I like a punch in the nose from the hops in my IPAs though. If I were brewing this I would add some flameout/hop stand additions for some added aroma and I would double the dry hop amounts. I would also halve the 20 min Citra addition. I find that a 20 min addition does add flavor but I like most of my hops at the end. I would probably do something like this:

0.35 oz Horizon [12.00 %] - Boil 60.0 min
0.25 oz Citra [12.00 %] - Boil 20.0 min
0.25 tsp Irish Moss (Boil 10.0 mins) Fining 8
0.50 oz El Dorado [15.00 %] - Boil 5 min Hop 9
0.50 oz El Dorado [15.00 %] - Hop Stand @ 170°F for 30 min
0.50 oz Citra [12.00 %] - Hop Stand @ 170°F for 30 min
1.00-1.25 oz Citra [12.00 %] - Dry Hop 7.0 Days
1.00-1.25 oz El Dorado [15.00 %] - Dry Hop 7.0 Days

I don't brew 3 gallon batches so I am just estimating the amounts but it should be good.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm more of a balanced IPA type of guy, one who likes a good amount of hops on the nose and in the beer flavor.
