Good day all,
I am just finishing my first batch, it will be transfered to the secondary tonight, it seems like when I take a Hydrometer reading that because of the size of the test tube it tilts and touches the side of the test tube, I keep seeing that the top should not touch the side of the tube, how is this accomplished, I cant find a small enough tube to keep the Hydrometer straight up and down, I think the readings I have taken were correct but an looking for an answer?
:mug:

In your case, I would put it directly in the fermentor (assuming you are using a bucket) and measure it like that. Odd that your hydrometer is tilting... They usually float pretty straight in a tube that is on a level surface.
