Hydrometer off by .004

Title says it all--broke my old one and the new one is reading .004 higher than the other my old one. I checked it in DI H2O and in the FG of a beer that I had on tap. the beer was 1016 with the other one and 1020 with this one. Water was 1000 with the other and 1004 with the new one. Can I just subtract .004 from the readings I get now or should I bring it back and get a new one?

You could get a new one, but that one may be off as well. You could just factor in the descripency when you take your readings instead.

What is the temperature that it was calibrated at? Other that that I say Revvy has the solution.
