Specifically the "a". I know that since Paulaner Salvator is the original doppelbock, most of them finish with the -ator suffix. Problem is, the second "a" in Salvator would be pronounced like the "a" in "Massachusetts".

So is the "a" in "Optimator" pronounced the same, or is it pronounced like the "a" in "maybe".

Also, while we're at it, how is "Spaten" pronounced. Is it "sp" or "schp" and is, as previously, how is the "a" pronounced.

Thanks.

optimator, the a is pronounced like "ar", and lengthened a bit.

spaten is pronounced shpaten/schpaten.

edit: and the "a" is pronounced like in optimator, sort of like shparten.
