I have a keezer in my garage. Is it a keezer if it isn't modified? Search me. Anyway, it has no collar. I use picnic faucets. This is not my main keezer, so I kept it simple.

When I pour a beer, of course, some beer sticks to the faucet, and sometimes beer dribbles onto other things.

I live in Florida, so six-legged pals are never far away. Keeping them out of a garage is not a possibility. I found a few tiny roaches in the keezer, and this did not please me. They were drawn by the spilled beer. I had to go get a mop and some bleach.

I know there must be other people with similar keezers. How are you cleaning your hand faucets after pouring beers? I was thinking of putting a little bucket of sanitizing solution on the keezer hump so I could dip the faucets after ever use, but I don't know how long an open bucket would hold onto its power.

Maybe I'll just have to take a container of soapy water to the garage every time I use the faucets.

Just get one of those PET drinking bottles with a straw and cut the curved part off...PET won't be reactive to Star San, so keep it on hand to squeeze and spray out your faucet before use.

I use a spray bottle similar to this for spraying StarSan. It works well for rinsing out faucets, too.

I' like many others use and recommend a spray bottle of starsan to clean out the taps after pouring.
As for dripping beer on the floor, I've for a long time been intending to install a drip tray, but ADHD and resultant executive dysfunction and squirrel brain means I'll likely keep my solution of placing a bucket under the taps, rinse it every once in a while when you manage to remember it...

I use these small black caps on my faucets. I used to use the blue tap brushes pictured above. They are good for cleaning only and not as a cap imo as they will rust over time. The caps below, I spray star san in it, then cap the faucet. You can then repeatedly squeeze the cap a few times to flush the faucet tip. I've never tried them on my picnic taps.

I think I'll just wait to see if I get food poisoning. I mean, these taps are at 35 degrees, and I'm not afraid of death.

The beer I just poured is a supernatural experience. I totally understand why Denny Conn took the path he chose.
