I have a new boss at work that discovered I homebrew. He asked me about it and said that he used to also and he had some kegs and a c02 tank if I wanted. Of course I accepted the offer with no hesitation.:ban: He gave me 4 kegs (2 pinlock, 2 ball lock), a 5 lb c02 tank, and a regulator. Couple questions...

1. I soaked them over night in oxyclean but in the posts there is nasty stuff that won't come out. It's stuck in the threads. How can I get it out?

2. The c02 tank has an expiration date of sometime in 05' and still has some in it. Should this be tested/refilled before I use it?

A toothbrush is a good tool for cleaning out the threads on the posts. the co2 you can use till empty than have it tested and filled or have it exchanged for a fresh one.

Congrats on the kegs
