I'm on my 3rd batch in my Corny. Each time I have Bbright'ed all the fittings in the keg, and lubed the orings with the food grade lube. BUT I have not touched the plastic snap on fittings connected to the Co2 and the Faucet.

How often do you guys disasemble these to clean? Whats the best method of cleaning them... I'm pretty sure I completely forgot how to disasemble the fittings already :cross:

You do not need to clean/sanitize the gas fittings really unless beer backs up accidentally into the line. The liquid lines and fittings you can clean with BLC (beer line cleaner) every few times you go through a keg. Just rinse with hot water and then sanitize with starsan other times if you do not want to clean between every keg.

The quick disconnects come apart with a flat head screw driver. There is a slot on top. Just unscrew it. There will be an o-ring on that and a spring on a plastic or metal peg. Note how they come apart so you can put them together again. :drunk:

You can soak those parts including the body in BLC or just with hot soapy water. Then rinse, sanitize and reassemble.

I have not used Bbrite so I cannot say for sure. Some people use PBW or oxyclean to clean there lines and then rinse VERY well. Sanitize of course after.

Both are percarbonate cleaners which use the release of oxygen to eat away at organic compounds. Proteins build up on the walls of the tubing over time and sanitizer alone cannot penetrate so you need some type of cleaner to break that down
