I have 2 types of Cascade. One is 4% AA, the other 8%.

I like the way the 4% AA Cascade tastes when I dry-hop 1.5 oz for 4 days in my IPA. If I want to do the same in a different batch with the 8% Cascade, would I use half as much?

My guess is that no, it's not that simple. I'll likely get a bit more flavour/aroma out of the 8% hops over the 4 day period but not twice as much. Correct?

Correct, without the application of sufficient heat the Alpha Acids do not isomerize and do not lend any bittering to the beer. Flavor and aroma only. Use the same amount.

Perfect! Thanks for the reply guys.

I guess in the same vein, if I have two hops that are the same variety, I should use save the higher AA % one during the boil for bittering as I'll get more 'bang for the buck'.
