How many Bushel's to make 5 Gallon Batch?

On the average, one bushel of apples should yield about 3 to 3 1/2 gallons of cider. This assumes a good press. A bushel of apples is 42-48 lbs The above is for a 48 lb bushel. So you need 2 to 2.5 bushels for 5 gallons with some left over. Its better to have more than not enough.

or for one gallon of apple, cider you will need 16 pounds of apples, more or less.
 
Damn beerfactory, it was less than an hour since he'd posted his question, patience man! For a little frame of reference, last year I made three gallons of pear cider with 145 lbs of pears. But pears don't give as much juice as apples, so take that as it were.
