How long to hops keep?

So, while cleaning out my freezer, I found 1 oz. of Liberty hop pellets in one of those vacuum sealed bags. I bought these 2-3 years ago when I was dinking around with a Mr. Beer. They've been in the freezer the whole time. My question is a general one because even if these are still good, I don't even know what I would use them in. So, how long do pellet hops last unopened in the freezer?

Open them and smell them. If they smell good, they are good. My recommendation would be to use them later in your boil though since the alpha acid levels are probably low...

Everything I've read states that hope begin to lose aa% after 6 months, even if they've been frozen and vacuum sealed.

They could still be useful as an aroma addition.
