I've been washing out my kegs when done, filling them with PBW and hot water and letting them sit, sometimes for many weeks, until I need the keg again. Then I empty, was very, very well and add some Star Sans until I keg....usually that day or the next.
Is PBW going to cause a problem, long term, sitting in the keg?

No, it shouldn't cause any problems unless someone here can prove otherwise?? PBW is designed to safely clean stainless steel along with other common brewing materials.

I sometimes store pbw in a keg to reuse if it's not too dirty. Just make sure to rinse it out really well before sanitizing.

I do the same with OxiClean (both are percarbonate cleaners). I even have a keg full of StarSan.

No adverse effects so far. Its been months.

I thought I read on here that Oxi can pit the insides of a keg?? Personally I don't like to use Oxi on anything but my glass carboys.
