Not worried so much about height...just trying to figure out how much vertical space I need to allot them.

My first year plants got about 15'. My poles are 18' and I expect them to top them this year. I have seen them go as high as 30'.

I have mine on an arbor. The go up as far as they can (less than 8 feet) and then run along the top and back around the top over and over. I have no idea how long they actually got, but it worked great on the arbor. (These are cascade hops- pictures in my gallery).
