How long can you store wet/fresh hops?

I can keep lettuce in my fridge for a couple of weeks, do hops keep that long?

I've only a few first year plants, and they may produce a few ozs (equivalent dry) of hops, but they will not all be at the same time. I'd like to use them all wet if I can, but I will dry them if necessary.

24 hours is generous...48 hours is really pushing it.

Just lay them out on a table to dry for a day or two, then put them in your bag and they will wait until the other hops are done.

When I was a young lad (at least one epoch ago :drunk:) I came upon a full size paper grocery bag full of a "cousin" of hops.
Fresh, green...potentially righteous.

Like a total noob I stuck it in my bedroom closet until I could figure out wtf to do with it.
Two days later I had a paper bag full of mildewed "cousin".
Dumped same.

Cheers! (Such tragedy - at so young an age ;))
