How Long are grains good for?

I have some grains from previous batches but they have already been milled. They are in zip-lock bags. How long will this be good for? I want to use it in my next couple of brews but they have been in there for like 3-4 months.

What do most people use to keep grains fresh.

yah once they have been milled they dont last longer than a couple of weeks, loose best freshness after a few days do a search on storing grains

Un-milled and stored properly; dry, cool place in an airtight container they can last a long time. A year or more.

How they brewed beer without the interweb is beyond me.

I sore crushed grains vacuum sealed in the freezer and haven't had any problems storing up to 2 months.
