Maybe it's silly but I think it classes things up vs. a gallon water jug on the floor. It stays with the fermenter if you ever have to wheel it around.
How about a clamp-on stainless steel blow off bucket for conicals?

Elegant and practical..My favourite kind of attention to detail! I love it..The only addition I'd make; assuming that's a 1/2" hose is to shove a piece of either 1/2" or 5/8" SS tubing in the end of the hose to sit in the sanitizer and make the hose last longer.
Someone should hang one of these from a bucket fermenter, just for the sheer incongruity.

Yeah, if I had my way the spike blowoff canes would be long enough to reach without any tubing but I have enough scraps to make that work anyway.

I have the redneck version of that. A quart jar attached with a few turns of electrical tape to a leg of my Brew Bucket.

My cane goes darn near to the floor so I just use a two quart mason jar, but I'd be in for that if my cane was shorter.
That's cool and all but I like using a Goat Island Growler placed on the bottom shelf of my fermenter. I think it looks cool and you can see the bubbles. Brewery guest get a kick out of seeing the Co2 bubbling away.
