Our water is fairly hard in our city, and deposits form on our faucets in a few weeks that have to been cleaned off. For this reason I buy jugs of water when I brew. I was wondering if the larger house filters would be sufficent enough to filter the water to a quality that is ok for brewing with no off flavors so I could use filtered tap instead of gallon jugs. I plan on getting some food grade tubing, and some hose ends so that I can fill up my kettles in the garage more quickly by hooking up to a hose outlet.
