What’s the best way to store your pellet hops?
I’ve watched a few videos that show some brewers storing their hops in the freezer. Is that good, bad, common?

Pick up a vacuum sealer, then throw them in the freezer.

I treat my frozen hops like food. 3 months in freezer, I’m probably okay. 6 months...dude eat it already.
this.

you can push it for quite a while if it hasn't been opened, but after a year or so, it really drops off.

I got a vacuum sealer, so I’ll package them up.
thanks !

Hops last a long time frozen. I had some five year old amarillos that were still good.

Yeah I used to have some seven, eight year old Belma hops that I used without problem both early and late in the boil. I was probably missing some IBUs but no problems getting bitterness from them.

I feel a little different about the newer high oil hops. Those seem to be more fragile and probably drop off in terms of flavor/aroma sooner than older varieties.
