I finally decided to try growing hops this year. I ordered Centennial, Columbus and Cascade rhizomes. I planted them on Saturday afternoon and this morning when I was going to work I noticed aIready have Centennial and Columbus shoots poking thru the soil. That is amazing to me. How fast will they grow? I still need to build the trellis for them.

And then they will ex-plode. Some growing more than an inch overnite.

It's crazy!

Yep, we have been a bit dry here and aren't expecting rain till the weekend. I watered them 2 nights ago and some shoots were 3-4 inches longer even though it's only been 50's. No we're going to have 3 days of 70-80 degrees and I expect them to start going bonkers.
