Well I was wondering if the spring and summer would be enough time to grow. Roughly its 58 to 92 through the day and can get pretty cold at night time like 42 can the plant survive that? I dont know a thing about growing this. But its the only ingrediant I cant find organic for a all organic gluten free beer.

get a hold of great lakes hops and ask them what they think. they're really helpful. but cascades are just about the hardiest and most disease resistant breeds out there so if you decide to try it then i would go that route

you should definitely consider Canadian Redvine hops. predictably enough, they're quite tolerant of cooler temps. for more info, hit the googles - or the link in my signature, below (look for varieties listed as not doing well in heat).

Redvines? Jeeze, I'd go with something that has some actual flavor/aroma. Cascades seem to grow pretty much anywhere...

Cheers!

i haven't heard anything awful about redvines. one source even compared them to cascades (didn't say they were identical, but in the same vein).

but if you have space, try a few varieties and see what works. cascade, centennial, mt. hood, perle and ultra are all also worthy of consideration.
