Hop growing in Alaska

We have some long ass days in the summer and i was wondering if hops need a period of shade to regroup or something. I'm thinking about planting chinook and cascade, maybe some centenial!! First time doing this and i'm pumped!!

Yep. I knew I had posted on this topic in the past. I think with those long a$$ summer days you will have some decent luck doing this, as long as Mt. Redoubt doesn't cover them with ash.
