Hop-back / torpedo-style vessel?

Ive considered the hop rocket from blichmann but really want something with tc fittings, so i was considering this from brewershardware.com: https://www.brewershardware.com/1_5...e-Strainer-with-4-OD-Body-TC15STRAINER20.html

Does anyone have any experience with vessels like this?

I've read they have a tendency to clog when used as a filter, not sure about a hopback.
