I always told myself I wouldn't brew.
But I was growing hops this year because seeing them grow on my Aunt's house in Germany made me think I should grow them too.
And I still said I wouldn't brew.

But everyone would ask.... Some assumed... others even demanded.

So I bought a kit. I figured what the hell, it doesn't cost that much. So far I've bottled one batch and another is about ready for the same. And two other kits are on their way to my house now.

The hops turned out fine, but they aren't yet used.

So I come to the forums to gain knowledge. Thanks in advance. :tank:

this forum has a plethora of knowledge. i'm still learning as i go, and i always come here first for info. welcome!

you already have a leg up on lots of beginners, you have producing hop plants! also, have any pictures of you aunt's hops?

Welcome, we like beer too.

Welcome! As FromZwolle hints, you might want to keep growing those hops to keep your costs down. Soon, you will begin assembling your intermediate and advanced equipment.

Be sure to tell more about your Aunt's German hops!

Haste auch die deutsche Herkunft?

Wait...why in the heck did you say you'd never brew????? Them's fightin' words...

But yes, hooray for beer, and welcome!

Welcome! wish I had some producing hops! have tried only had a few cones Centennial seems to do best here in SC for me maybe next year!

Thanks for the welcome! Seems like a cool group!!!
-All my hobbies are expensive. Motorcycles, music, electronics, workshop stuff. So far this has been cheap. So far. However I have everything to build a brewing rig. (sculpture?) so I came prepared. Relatively.
-I'm not German but my dad is.
-I don't have any pictures of my aunt's house/tavern. Bummer.
-I said I wasn't going to brew cause I was hoping my brother would. He failed. Again. Bah! So I win!
