Does anyone know where i can find good prices on clover honey? Im going to make a 5 gallon batch of joes quick grape, and 2 gallons of jaom very soon. I live in upstate NY

check costco or whatever equivalent bulk store you may have.

You can find really good prices on-line (not from LHBS, but actual honey distributers), but shipping will kill you.

Not sure a local farmers market will guarantee a good price, but it should be good honey. I spent over $4/lb (which I think is fairly expensive) a couple weeks ago at a market in Northern VA for clover/wildflower - harvested 3 days before and unprocessed - tasted spectacular. Hopefully the mead does it justice!

Where in upstate are you? If you're close to the capital region, I recall last year Indian Ladder Farms would fill your own container for $3.25/LB. Not sure if the price is the same this year.

There is another place just west of Albany. They don't list prices on their website, but its worth a call.
