So I saw this little tool: KotMF: Random Recipe Generator from a post by revvy and decided to plug something into Beersmith when the recipe that came up was "Honey Stout with Scottish yeast" and was intrigued. here's what I came up with, I've been meaning to do a stout soon anyway..Comments and thoughts are nice.

6# 2-row (64%)
1# Flaked Barley (10.8%)
1# Honey Malt (10.8%)
.75# Roast Barley (8.1%)
.5# Chocolate Malt (5.4%)

1.5oz EKGs @ 60 (27.7 IBUs)

Fermented with WLP028 - Edinburgh Ale

I was hoping that the Honey malt would act like a light crystal for some extra body along with the flaked barley, and that the yeast would lend some Scottish Smokey in there, it could prove to be darn tasty. Thoughts?

How did the stout come out? I was thinking about doing a stout with some honey malt as well.
