Homegrown Hops on LI

For people who are growing their own hops on Long Island, what varieties are you growing based on our climate and which would you recommend if I wanted to grow 2-3 different kinds in my backyard?

I'd be curious what kind of hops they grow on the eastern end of Long Island. You should have success with similar varieties.

Hey, I just spotted this thread quite by accident. I'm growing 9 varieties and have a 10th to plant this year. Nugget and Newport have been flourishing. Cascade I've heard does well. I think there are only a few varieties that do better in the south than in the north. Plant what you like and what you can get.
