i just got my 6 gal carboy, and i brewed my rusty trombone american ale on the 8th. this is the first time i've used dry yeast and i didnt even hydrate it. added the yeast @7 pm. first shot @ 5 am next morning, second @ 11 pm that night, and 3rd @ 3 pm today.

so far i'm really liking us-05 , and saving money.

haha yeah, the IPA is coming up soon but the stout is was bottled a few days ago-and i have never tasted something so good out of the primary. lets hope other people agree.
