So it's been a little over a week since my first brew. I couldn't wait, so I took a hydro reading today - in part to get my first taste test. It actually tasted like beer. Freakin awesome.
It's a smooth nut brown from midwest. The color was a little lighter than I expected. Kind of caramel colored and not as brown as I was thinking. OG was 1.059 ( a little higher than expected). My reading today was 1.015. I'll check again soon, if for no other reason than to get another sample.
