I messed up my timing on this one. I have 10 gallons of a super citra hopped APA fermenting away nicely. Using a blend of Wyeast Burtons Ale and S-04. It should be ready to move to the secondary for dry hopping on Monday (May 26th). I'm going out of town on Friday May 30th and not returning till Sunday June 8th. I am trying to determine what is best. Here are the options I have:

A) Dry hop on the 26th and bottle/keg (havent decided which) on the 30th. Only 4 days of dry hopping, or
B) Rack to secondary on the 26th and wait till the 8th to dry hop for 5 - 7 days.
C) Dry hop on the 26th, transport the secondaries to stage one of my trip. Wake up early and keg before leaving Saturday morning. 4.5 days of dry hopping.
D) Dray hop on the 26th, wait 7 days, call my significant other and have her take out the hops but not bottle or keg.
E) Other suggestions?

I would prefer option B but am not sure if that is a good idea. Suggestions and/or advice would be appreciated.

Any of these will work.
I would personally do option B
Option A would work well too.
Option C sounds like a pain.
Option D only if the significant other knows proper sanitizing techniques.

Good luck!

Option B is my preference. Should I be concerned at all about having it sit in the secondary idly for almost 2 weeks?

E) Cold crash the primary until you return. Transfer to a secondary at that time, let it warm up and dry hop for a few days before packaging.

Not sure I will have space to cold crash all 10 gallons.

If you topped off two five gallon carboys, could you fit that in?

Transfer to two secondaries now and cold crash them until you return. Dry hop at that time.

I say option A. 4 days is fine for dry hopping. I used to dry hop for 7-10 days but have cut that down to 4-5 days. No complaints here. The added benefit is you can be drinking your carbed beer when you get home!
