HLT Electric Keggle Build - Coil / Element Placement

I am curious to know where some of you are placing your HERMS coil in relationship to the element. I am assuming that you don't want the coil touching or resting on the element. I bought some heavy duty compression fittings with stainless ferrules from bobby at brewhardware so I think the "hanging" weight of the coil wont be an issue. Looking for input before I start making holes in the keggle.

We have ours "hanging" above the element without any issues. Using weldless fittings with o-rings and washers a la blichman style

Same here - has been working great since summer of 2009.
