so that new Leaves of Grass... color me impressed.

not a style I gravitate towards normally, but it was so well executed, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

again, call me a (distant) homer... but it blows my mind they make and are known for awesome saisons and hoppy beers.. but then can make a style like this and hit the mark so flawlessly

it was a nice change of pace/surprise for me...

not saying it's as good as Aaron, but it made the same impression on me on how I don't think of that style for HF but they completely nailed it.

Glad I listened to my gut and bought some against a friend's recommendation.

Anyone open an Elab 3 yet?

Soon.

Madness & Civilization #4 was a bad beer and I still want my money back/exchange for Flora Cuvee +
M&C4 wasn't a bad beer fresh. it did take a downhill turn some months afterwards (as did M&C3 as of a few months ago). it was never my favorite, like Daybreak, but it wasn't bad when they released it.

Lol. Not really srs but...

It was a bad beer when i had it. And hf couldn't have cared less. Hell, even in Chicago a brewery would have given me a credit for their bad beer or at least issued an apology.

I should be there at open. Quick Flora BBR to the dome and then gotta get to Church.

gotcha.. i'll probably head down mid afternoon.. interested to see if some Christmas goodies are lingering like last year... couldn't pull the trigger on the Santa Shaun totes... dat Art tote doe!

it did taste just like b5...just lacked, fruit.
It was also one of the better of the 4 releases from the infamous DBD day. I remember the backlash from that release and how Shaun stopped posting new beer releases on his site for the next month or so. Funny to think that was over 2 years ago.

It was also the last time we saw Bourbon Damon. Where is that old dog hiding these days?
