All you southeast people keep an eye out for Highland Brewing's Tasgall Ale:

Called by them a well-hopped Scottish ale that comes in at 8%abv (a new thing in NC). I snagged one last night at the grocery while buying dinner and really, really enjoyed it. I love both hoppy beers, and malty beers...I found this beer to be a great balance. The hops really hit the nose and tastebuds up front, but give way to a profound maltiness that lasts and makes you keep sipping.

I've always enjoyed their oatmeal porter but hadn't really sampled any of their other offerings until now.
