just an FYI tip. apparently there are different grades of teflon tape. the white stuff is meant for 3/8" and smaller fittings. the pink (high density) stuff is meant for 1/2" and larger fittings. yellow is meant for gas/propane lines.

my 1/2" NPT inlet manifold for my march pump had these pin drop sized leaks no matter what i tried. a little googling, another trip to lowes, some pink teflon tape, and low and behold everything is leak free.

p.d.

Never knew there were different types for sizes, just thought it was liquid vs gas. thanks! :)

I have had very good luck with the teflon paste. It's made to use with potable water. Stainless is really a biotch to get to stop leaking with tape. With the paste, it's all good. - Dwain
