Hello All!
I've been an extract brewer since 2004, and haven't brewed a batch that wasn't drinkable- so that's got to count for something.
I started brewing partial boils in 2004 while living deep in the bowels of of NY state's Adirondack Park (Saranac Lake) under the name of the 3rd World Brewing Co. and then continued extract brewing even deeper in the ADK (Goldsmith) in 2008- totally off the grid, with no electricity, running water, landline or cellular telephones, television or internet- while running a working horse farm with 4 dogs.
A divorce brought me back to my roots in Central NY (the Greater Utica Area) last year without any of my brewing equipment, but thanks to my parents and girlfriend, I'm up and running again, still extract brewing, but now at least able to do full boils!
I used to be a fairly active member of another HB Forum, but things seemed kind of dead around there these days, so I'm looking for a little more action and especially, info on how things have progressed since I was an avid homebrewer last decade.
This Forum seems like it could be the place.
I've got 10 gallons in the primaries now, and more brews coming up; looking forward to being a productive member of this community, meeting you all, and helping out when I can.
