I am sorry to beat a dead horse, but please...enough with the SWMBO. My wife is not 'one who must be obeyed'.

Chill, friend, it's all in jest.

Real relationship insight is best sought somewhere else than this homebrewing site. That goes for politics, vocation, child rearing, religion, or any other area of life other than brewing. Shockingly, there are a lot of nut jobs around here - but they're nutjobs who know a lot about brewing, so I like them ;)

Yes, agree, yes, yes, repeat, lots of them, agree. :mug:

I think the SWMBO thing is funny, and I use that term also. That doesn't mean that my wife is the boss of me .... (oh ****, here she comes... gotta go ...

Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, its just a very overused term here and for some reason it just drives me nuts.

SWMBO drives your nuts?

Isn't that the obvious meaning of SWMBO?

I mean if SWMBO didn't mean she controls your nuts then it wouldn't be SWMBO.

Why does SWMBO bother you? You'd rather "Ole Lady"?

At least SWMBO acknowledges some level of power, whether you admit it or not.

I think it might be the stick in your butt. :p

I don't like the term and don't use it, but I have far bigger things to worry about.

Could very well be that. I didn't have coffee yet and I got a few emails at work that didn't start my day well, so maybe I am a little grumpy too.

I prefer to use wife. Its 4 characters versus 6 in caps, so technically speaking its easier to type versus an actual thought process to move your fingers to shift and type 6 keys. Beyond that its just a term that annoys me. Kind of like the word jumbo...I really hate that word. Maybe I have some mental problems?

EDIT: I think I just figured out why I hate the term SWMBO....

For me SWMBO is kind of tongue in cheek. If she really needed to be obeyed, I wouldn't be brewing all the time, spending money on brew equipment and fridges, storing bottles (full and empty) all over the house, and talking about the process all the time. Especially since she doesn't even like beer.

It's not the beer she likes. It's the feeling of superiority from all the beg forgiveness pampering.

OP's jimmies are rustled

i just think it's cool you let your wife date. I've been trying to convince mine to get out there and mingle it up a bit, myself.

Wait! Is it because it's only 5 characters?
