Anybody want to lead me to a good beginner sour recipe?
Iv been kind of hooked on sours lately. Iv had an excellent sour brown and a few great fruity tart raspberry or cherry sours.

I am a pretty experienced all grain brewer but have not delved into sours so far. Any advice would be awesome.

Yeah that's why I kind of described a couple I liked. I'm completely un educated in the matter. How about, what kind of recipe would you look for to get a fruity tart beer?

I guess I'm just looking for a recipe I can try and explore a little. I'm a learn by trial kind of person.

Maybe a Berliner Weisse? If nothing else, you won't have to wait 2-3 years for it to be drinkable.

Edit: Dang! Ninjaed.

Double edit: Ninjaed by the OP, no less! My shame is terrible.

I'd say take some time and read through the sour beer threads. Another great resource is the Mad Fermentationist site: http://www.themadfermentationist.com/
A lot of great info there.

Thanks. That link is just what I'm looking for! Also I think I am going to do that Berliner for my first batch just because of the quick time and ease and than plan an aged one for after it.

Also, if you listen to the brewing network podcasts there were some great interviews with Flat TailBrewing and another with Crooked Stave that were very educational. Check out thisifyou really want to geek learn a little: http://www.brettanomycesproject.com
