Bought a PBR clone kit, from Brewmasters Wearhouse, for my Mom to brew. It contains 2 ½ lbs each of 2-row & 6-row, 3 lbs flaked maize, 1 oz Willamette plus the yeast. I am assuming a 60-minute single infusion mash and have a couple questions.
What temperature for the mash?
60 minute boil or longer?
Also
In the recipe notes, on the web site, it stated to cereal mash with grits (not flaked maize).
So, would I throw the flaked maize in the trash, buy some grits, cook them and then add that to the mash tun?
