Trying to get my equipment profiles dialed in and are a few areas I am confused about measuring losses.

1. Kettle loss to trub? Can I just chill a wort and measure the trub after I rack to the fermenter?

2. Fermenter Loss? Does this include the yeast cake? How would I get an accurate measurement for total fermenter loss? What about trub in the secondary if I use one?

Thanks for any help.

1. Yes.
2. Yes. I would pour it into a container with measurements marked. No matter how many vessels you use, the total of the losses between them equals your Fermenter Loss.
