Hi all,
I’m new to Brewers Friend, been using BS for a long time and wanted to try something new. So I’ll get right to it...
After setting up recipes and equipment profile I started a brew session. I set my equipment profile for 2qt mash tun addition and 1 qt mash tun loss. Looking at water requirements all the numbers look good. It doesnt jive with the mash calculator though. the mash calulater tab doesn’t account for initial mash tun addition (water under falso bottom) or dead space when draining. See pics below. Mash calculator says I’ll end up with 7.57 gal in bk. It should be 7.32. Also initial strike volumes dont agree. How do i fix this.?

thanks
