I normally make my own recipes and find it quite fun but I mainly brew low avb beers around 3% so the investments are low. But the wife wants something with a higher abv. And we both like ipa's.

since the cost of brewing bigger beers is much more i would like to get it right the first time.

I have lots of english pale malt on hand, c60, wheat, cara aroma, vienna, munich,
The hops i have on hand are Nugget, fuggle, cascade, Amarillo, zythos hops

I know ive got the ingredients just building a working recipe.

Some advice would be great
 
i don't know the amounts you have or batch size but...

90% pale malt
5% wheat
5% dextrose

bitter with nugget to 50ish ibus

10 min addition of cascade to get about 10-15 ibus

flameout/whirlpool (at lest 30 min) a ton of amarillo and zythos (like 2-3 oz each if this is a 5 gallon batch)

use the same amount for dryhopping.

mash low (148-150) and shoot for about 1.070 OG and 1.010 FG. that gives you a nice 8% DIPA.
 
How does this look.

Im hoping to get the final gravity down with the low mash temp. I might even mash longer just to break the sugars down a bit more.
