I'm going to be making a black IPA (all extract, darkened with maltoferm) but I need help deciding on what hops to use.

So, what are your favorite IPA hops? What flavors come through with those hops?

I like my black IPAs super dank... So I like a lot of late simcoe and Columbus.

I use lots of cascade and Amarillo for aroma and dry hop for my black rye. And I use giggles at 30 and 20 for a good earthy flavor.

Stone's Sublimely Self Righteous is definitely my favorite IBA. BreezyBrew got it right, they use Amarillo and Simcoe. That's going to be more citrus and floral/spicy. If you want more dankness I would go will Columbus or summit. Some nugget might be nice in a IBA too.

I have one in the keg now Columbus for bittering and Amarillo and citra, also dry hopped its awesome

I brew a columbus / Centennial BIPA that is always a hit. So good. Bitter with what ever you like, then go 50/50 columbus/centennial at 10, 5, 0. Shoot for 60 IBU or so. I dry hop with 2oz centennial.
