Help Me Decide On A Base For My Pumpkin Beer

I have two choices in this case:

1. Belgian Caramel Wheat kit

2. Witbier kit put together for me by my brew store guy who already knows what I want to do with it.

Essentially asking if you think Caramel and Pumpkin/pumpkin spices will go well together. The Caramel Wit is supposed to be a spring beer but I think I can transform it into a winter beer by adding the pumpkin and associated spices.
 
While a white pumpkin ale would be interesting a base that includes caramel (crystal) would be more traditional. Most of the recipes I've looked at included crystal malt in varying amounts, and the imperial pumpkin ale I just brewed used three different types of crystal. The caramel wheat seems to be the better choice IMO.
