So I am planning a couple batches as Christmas presents and the only one I'm hung up on is for my father in law. He is mostly Dutch so I thought it would be fun to do a beer that they are known for. I did a little research and all I found other than pale lagers were some mention of different bocks and witbiers. Does that sound about right?

If anyone has any insight into what a traditional Dutch beer is or has any good recipies, it would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply. I'll look into your recipe. How dark does that end up being? My FIL tends to like stouts and porters so I was thinking maybe a dopplebock would be good for him. Either way, I better start now if i'm going to lager something for him.

Thanks again!
