I was in Scotland several years ago - loved it. I had to try some Scottish ale while I was there - it was Broughton Exciseman's. It's one of my favorite beers.

(I had a hard time finding Scottish ale there. Almost nobody had even heard of it. I finally found some in the grocery store.)

Welcome.

Scottish Ale is probably an American invention. I have heard from some over there it's not like what we think.

Who ever developed it, I'm good with the style types I have had.

I spent 6 months travelling back and forth between home and Houston, TX for work back in the early naughts. My favorite hangout was The Richmond Arms Pub, which sadly closed last year. Drank enough Belhaven there to be considered an honorary Scot.
