Hey everyone! Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself! I live in San Diego but I am currently on deployment with the Navy, hence why I cant tell you where I am!

I have been reading up a bunch on this site for a while now and I finally joined up. I have gathered so much knowledge its great! I have been using my free time while "away" to plan my eHERMS build, so that when I get home in December, I can take some time off and build build build!

I have plans for pretty much everything so far, but I fear that I will spend the next 8 months trying to figure out how the hell to wire a controller and all the parts etc. So look for me on the all the electric brewing threads!

Cheers!

Thank you for your service...free beer at my tap always (unless you become a nuisance and I have to toss you out). Welcome to a hobby that grows into an obsession faster than yeast attacking fresh wort in warm room.

former squid here (Sonar Tech, STG), spent first half of my enlistment in San Dog, late 80s. RTC, FLEASWTRACENPAC, NTC/SSC

dying to go back and try the brewery they built across the street from USS Recruit, after my time there. and lately I've been dreaming about carne asada burritos from Adelbertos

thank you for your service, welcome to the obsession

My dad was a Seabee in WWII, building runways in the Philippians to attack Japan. So I know how it can be, good & bad. Haven't been to SoCal in awhile, but there are a lot of lhbs's & craft brews down that way. Welcome to HBT & thanks for helping protect the rest of us! :tank:

Welcome to one of the greatest addictions ever known, yet never spoken of. Oh, wait, I just said it didn't I? Thank you for your service. My father was the Master Gunner on a Submarine Chaser in the Pacific.

Thank you for your service. My daughter served on the USS Benfold out of San Diego as well.

Not to stray off-topic, but in the same vain, my Dad was a co-pilot of a B-24 Liberator, shot down over Germany on their first bombing run, captured and was in prison camp for 10 months. My Dad wasn't around when I got into HB, but I'm sure he would have loved it. Thanks to all vets who fought to protect and are still protecting the precious freedoms we have now.

Thanks for your service buddy!..Keep reading by the time you get home you will have 100 batches under your belt (in your head) before you brew your first real batch!! take notes and read read read. your first batch will be amazing compared to most of our first batches
