Hey folks.

Been pokin' around a few days, thought I would say hello.
I have brewed a few years. Well, took some time off after my son came along but started again last fall. Just recently started checking out forums. I was determined to "keep things simple" by remaining strictly extract with specialty grains, especially since I had such a hard time brewing at all with an infant in the house. "Unfortunately" thanks to forums such as this one I have headed into pm brewing. Stop making it look so appealing! :ban:
sorry...
Having some technical difficulites getting going again, but having fun none the less. This forum has inspired me to try brewing some sake again too...

:drunk:

well, must go check koji temperature. I am sure I will have something to post soon. Like a plea for HELP! :mug:

Welcome!

Where in VT? I'm from outside of Bennington, still live not too far away. Seems like there are more and more New Englanders these days, which is awesome.

Hey bird. Up in the NEK, St. J. to be exact. Any warmer way down there? ;)

That is excellent to know. One of my many problems as of late has been temperature related. Good to know there are others up in the frozen wastelands to confer with.

Welcome KoG! How'd you like your 4 feet? check out the gatherings board (though you'll have an obvious difficulty)...

I was up in Newport a couple weeks ago. Welcome! :rockin:

Fortunately it was only about 2.5 feet here. I skimmed the gatherings board, not sure what you mean hippie. If I had the correct thread it was a bit long and I did not read it all. :cross:

Up until now the only other brewers I know up here are a friend of mine who I got into brewing, and my brother (in Maryland) who showed me how. So, have been "flying by the seat of my pants" reading books and making lots of mistakes.

I am going to enter the Littleton Homebrew competetion in April up here (over in Littleton NH) just for the hell of it. Something to do. I don't have any delusions I will win anything but getting to sample some other brews should be fun :mug:

The NE Brew Gathering thread has the plans for the next get together at the end, just go to the last pages... St. Pats day in northern MA (lowell area)& Bird's planning one for springtime which will be family oriented...

Abit further up the kingdom (newport) I heard 4 feet... 2.5 is enough digging though ;)
