Oh, now you've done it! You went and insulted Doug Flutie and his charity to fight autism. That's just wrong! Furthermore, I feel as though Turfguy does have a right to call Buffalo Hockey Town, USA. You can see Canada across the river on your way to the arena. Which by the way, I was down there last night TG, Holy $h!t, it was nuts after Drury scored that goal! I can't even talk today. The atmosphere reminded me of Pittsburgh the night before they won the Superbowl. Saying this isn't a hockey town, you don't have to win to love the game and your team. Buffalo should know that better than anyone! Do those other cities that were mentioned even sell out their arenas? LETS GO BUFFALO!!!!

I'm not sure why it matters any, but Detroit has a great view of Canada, too. They also have 10 Stanley Cups in their trophy case. Buffalo has no trophy case. I can't speak for further but the cities he mentioned each have a CUP in their back pockets.

Give us just one good reason, just one, why Buffalo is entitled to be called "Hockey Town USA?" They've been to 2 Cup Finals in 37 years. Lost 'em both. Let's call Dallas, TX "Hockey Town" USA, it would certainly be more appropriate. At least they won a Cup. Boston your a funny bastard, thanks for backing me up.

Yes, Detroit is the real HockeyTown. We have a huge bar called HockeyTown, and like you said many trophies.

Detroit all the way. I would love to see Detroit and Buffalo in the finals. Sens are going to be tough for the Sabres but when Drury is your leader you have an advantage. Always wanted him in the old winged wheel.
