Just got home from college, and have been killing to start brewing. So far nothing bottled, but I have a sour in secondary and a vanilla porter fermenting. I keep the recipes updated here. The name is from a song by the Mountain Goats, and if you're into them, I've made John Darnielle smile by brewing. I also joined the AHA, will be joining MALT, and hope to join CRABS.

Otherwise, I'm trained in Economics and English Literature, and work as an administrative assistant in an intensive care unit and surgical stepdown. Hopefully I'll be going back to school for my MA in Economic Policy soon. There are a few short stories and econ articles with my name on them, but nothing big.

I'm just happy to be brewing.

I'm sure they'll turn out good, but don't forget to make some simple beers along the way. I've been surprised that my less creative endeavors sometimes turn out the best.

This is the right attitude. Welcome to the addiction! :mug:

Yeah, I agree completely. The IPA will likely be closer to a hoppy APA, and it's staying incredibly simple. If it weren't for the sour though, I don't think I ever would have bought the equipment!
