Howdy all,
Newcomer to these fine eShores with a question.
I've made mead, blueberry beer, and a couple stout stouts, etc. I'm still a newb at homebrewing, and have lurked around here and there for recipes and tips.
I post now because I recently picked up a fruit from the Dekalb Farmer's Market in Decatur, GA, and it blew my mind as a possible candidate for brewing. Might be a bit pricey, though, as it's tropical and pretty rare everywhere but the Farmer's Market.
Has anyone made a mead with Mamey Sapote?
It reminded me of cooked pumpkin, but much sweeter. It's like pumpkin pie in fruit form.
Has anyone ever made this? Google is turning up a whole lot of nothing.
Thanks,
BD
